About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling high-precision electromechanical products and sub-assemblies while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and production standards. You will work closely with engineers, quality personnel, and production leaders to deliver products that meet customer specifications and on-time delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components according to work instructions, engineering drawings, SOPs, and assembly procedures.
- Perform cable routing, wiring, fastening, fitting, and integration of components with high precision.
- Conduct functional testing, visual inspections, and quality checks to ensure products meet customer and company standards.
- Operate assembly tools and equipment such as torque drivers, hand tools, measuring instruments, and test equipment safely and effectively.
- Identify assembly defects, non-conformances, or process abnormalities and report them promptly to supervisors or engineers.
- Support troubleshooting, rework, and corrective actions for defective products.
- Maintain accurate production records, checklists, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge), 5S, GMP, and workplace safety requirements.
- Achieve daily production targets while maintaining high workmanship quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic care of assembly tools and workstations.
- Support inventory accuracy by handling materials and components responsibly.
- Collaborate effectively with production, quality assurance, engineering, and warehouse teams.
Job Requirements
- Diploma, Certificate, or SPM qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with manufacturing or assembly experience will have an added advantage.
- Experience in precision assembly, semiconductor, medical devices, electronics, or industrial equipment manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with hand tools, torque tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
- Basic understanding of quality standards, ESD practices, and manufacturing processes.
- Good manual dexterity with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, or weekends when required.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
