Position Summary
The Quality Engineer (Software Testing & Manufacturing Quality) is responsible for ensuring that products meet company quality standards throughout manufacturing, testing, and final release. This role combines traditional manufacturing quality assurance with software and firmware validation, ensuring both hardware and software function reliably before shipment to customers.
The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Production, Service, and R&D teams to identify quality issues, improve processes, and maintain compliance with company and international quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Quality
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections
- Develop and maintain inspection procedures and quality documentation
- Investigate product defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Monitor production quality KPIs and identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure production complies with ISO 9001 quality requirements
- Support internal and external quality audits
- Verify product compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
Software Testing & Validation
- Perform functional testing of application software, firmware, and embedded systems
- Verify software compatibility with hardware components
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking systems
- Work closely with Software Engineers to reproduce and resolve software issues
- Validate software releases before deployment to production or customers
- Maintain detailed software testing records and reports
- Support cybersecurity and software reliability testing where applicable
Product Testing
- Verify machine performance
- Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
- At least 2 years of software testing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience working with embedded systems or industrial equipment is an advantage.
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
Work Location: In person
