HR Executive at Giant Hypermarket
Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organized HR Executive (Retail) to support the full spectrum of human resource functions at the store level. The ideal candidate will manage recruitment, employee engagement, payroll administration, performance management, and HR compliance while working closely with Store Managers to ensure efficient store operations and a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and fulfill manpower requirements for retail stores.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
- Prepare and update job descriptions and job requirements for retail positions.
- Create and publish job advertisements across appropriate recruitment platforms.
- Collaborate with Store Managers to foster employee engagement and maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Conduct orientation and coordinate training and development programs for new employees.
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage payroll data for retail staff.
- Work closely with Store Managers and the HR team on daily HR operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements.
- Support employee performance evaluation processes and provide constructive feedback where appropriate.
- Monitor HR trends and recommend improvements to HR practices and initiatives.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on employee turnover and other HR metrics.
- Manage payroll matters, including overtime, flexible work schedules, and seasonal employment.
- Coordinate with the Legal Department on store license renewals and related documentation.
- Arrange manpower and meal supplies during stock take activities.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 year of experience as an HR Executive or in a similar HR role.
- Experience in the retail industry is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of recruitment, payroll administration, and Malaysian employment laws.
- Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Willing to work a 6-day work week.
- Preferably aged 30 years and above.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
