Responsibilities
What The Role Is
You support the Branch Head to plan, oversee and ensure readiness, performance and resiliency of Operation Support Information Technology (OSIT) common backend infrastructure.
What You Will Be Working On
You support the Branch Head to plan, oversee and ensure readiness, performance and resiliency of Operation Support Information Technology (OSIT) common backend infrastructure.
What You Will Be Working On
- Manage OSIT common backend infrastructure across the various MINDEF/SAF OSIT networks and systems
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Troubleshoot and resolve common infrastructure and backend technical issues
- Ensure a high level of user satisfaction
- Work closely with the DSTA operation and support teams and external vendors
- Ensure effective and efficient engineering support for technology refresh, upgrades and updates
- Maintain policy compliance and proper governance
Challenge(s) - Managing complex IT infrastructure
- Coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Education in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and/or related professional qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience working in the IT industry as a manager (or equivalent role) in a technical or engineering setting
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Good knowledge of various technology stacks in current production environments and indigenous Information Technology (IT) infrastructure components and services
