Job Description
We are looking for a detailed-oriented and proactive MEP DfMA Engineer / Coordinator to spearhead our modular and prefabricated Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. In this role, you will bridge the gap between digital design and physical assembly by leveraging advanced 3D modeling and CAD platforms. You will oversee the coordination of prefabricated components from the initial modeling phase through factory production and final site installation.
Key Responsibilities
- BIM & CAD Engineering: Lead the creation, updating, and maintenance of accurate 3D BIM models and detailed 2D shop drawings for prefabricated MEP systems.
- Clash Detection: Conduct comprehensive clash detection and resolve structural or architectural interferences using coordination software before production.
- Project Coordination: Act as the central point of contact to coordinate schedules and workflows between the design team, production factory, and site installation teams.
- Safety & Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate safety hazards during the DfMA design stage by evaluating module lifting, transport, and installation risks.
- Technical Review: Evaluate technical datasheets, drawings, and method statements to ensure seamless alignment with Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) guidelines and safety protocols.
- Site & Factory Support: Monitor factory fabrication progress and support site teams during module integration, enforcing strict compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.
- Documentation Management: Manage digital drawing transmittals, track revisions, and compile precise as-built records for final project handover.
Job Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
- BIM Modeling Proficiency: High competency in building 3D models using Autodesk Revit (MEP).
- AutoCAD Skills: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting, reviewing, and editing detailed engineering blueprints.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related technical discipline.
- Certifications: Possession of a valid Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) certificate.
Added Advantages:
- Software Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Navisworks for clash resolution.
- Industry Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in MEP coordination, modular construction, or Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC).
