Job Description

Responsibilities

Join a dynamic team to spearhead the development of cutting-edge power electronics solutions. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your expertise in circuit design and simulation to drive innovation in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced circuit designs tailored for power electronics applications.
  • Conduct circuit design and simulations for optimal performance.
  • Select components that meet cost, performance, and reliability criteria.
  • Create schematics and BOMs using OrCAD, working closely with PCB design engineers while considering mechanical design aspects.
  • Perform PCB prototype testing to validate design performance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot circuit issues to ensure all systems function effectively.
  • Ensure all designs comply with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate successful product launches.
  • Partner with external R&D institutes and universities to foster innovation in power electronics.
  • Conduct comprehensive product testing and support the qualification process, including EMC/RFI and safety certifications.
  • Draft and maintain technical documents outlining design specifications.
  • Stay informed about advancements in power electronics, materials, and industry trends.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.

Requirements:

  • Degree in electronic engineering, power electronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power electronics and PCB design.
  • Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, control theory, EMC, reliability, and thermal engineering.
  • Solid theoretical knowledge of power electronic converter principles, multi-level converters, magnetic component designs, and wide bandgap power semiconductor devices.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as LTSpice, Matlab/Simulink, PLECS, and Labview for effective design and analysis.
  • Ability to create scripts for automating product verification testing is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in technology development and innovation.
  • Publication in reputable journals is considered a plus.
  • A proactive approach with a passion for energy-based technologies and trends.
  • Strong capability to work independently and collaboratively, with exceptional communication skills.
