Job Description

Responsibilities

Join a dynamic team where your expertise in Quantity Surveying will be essential in managing project costs and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations. This role offers an opportunity to engage with various stakeholders while overseeing project execution effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project team to address and resolve contractual disputes efficiently.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project requirements.
  • Oversee project planning and execution to optimize resource allocation and manpower utilization.
  • Coordinate interactions across multiple disciplines to support successful project outcomes.
  • Execute full quantity surveying tasks, including valuation, cost control, claims processing, and final account settlements, in conjunction with the procurement team.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Analyze and prepare costings for tender submissions.
  • Provide insights on procurement strategy and manage contractual claims.
  • Compile and analyze project reports and develop detailed progress documentation.
  • Assess and value completed works and process progress claims accordingly.
  • Monitor variations in ongoing projects, ensuring that cost impacts are tracked.
  • Conduct cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects.
  • Prepare and submit relevant catalogues and sample boards.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the head of department.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in residential and industrial projects.
  • Solid understanding of Mechanical and Electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with local health and safety regulations in Singapore.
  • Proficient in software tools related to costing and budgeting.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, along with adaptability and flexibility.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and commitment.
