Job Scope

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Test Planning & Execution:

Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to translate complex banking requirements into comprehensive UAT test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.

End-to-End Testing: Execute UAT testing across various banking modules (e.g., core banking, payments, loan processing, wealth management, or digital banking portals).

Defect Management: Identify, log, and track software defects using tools like Jira or ALM. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.

Data Management: Create, maintain, and mask complex test data matching production-like scenarios while adhering to strict data privacy policies.

Sign-Offs: Assist business stakeholders in validating test results to provide formal UAT sign-off prior to production deployment.

Production Support (L2/L3)

Incident Management: Monitor production systems, investigate application alerts, and acknowledge critical incidents impacting banking operations.

Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Perform deep-dive technical troubleshooting (analyzing logs, querying databases) to identify the root cause of production failures.

Issue Resolution: Provide quick workarounds for urgent business blockers and collaborate with L3/Development teams for permanent bug fixes.

Health Checks & Monitoring: Perform daily health checks, end-of-day (EOD) batch processing monitoring, and system health reporting.

Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear, timely updates to non-technical business users and executive leadership during critical system outages.

Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Database Proficiency:

Strong SQL skills to query databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or Sybase) for data verification and log analysis.

OS & Scripting: Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and basic shell scripting to navigate server logs.

Testing Tools: Experience with test management tools like Jira, HP ALM, or Azure DevOps. Automated testing exposure (Selenium, Tosca) is a plus.

Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, or AppDynamics.

Banking & Domain Knowledge Deep understanding of core banking concepts, financial workflows, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., KYC, AML, Basel regulations).

Familiarity with financial messaging standards (e.g., SWIFT, ISO 20022) or payment processing gateways (ACH, Fedwire, SEPA) is highly preferred.

Soft Skills Critical Thinking: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills under tight deadlines or high-pressure system outages.

Communication: Ability to seamlessly translate complex technical jargon into clear, concise updates for business stakeholders.

Adaptability: Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation schedule (including occasional weekends or night shifts) to support critical banking batch runs or deployments.

Education & Experience: 3–6 years of experience working in IT within a financial institution, specifically split between UAT testing and application support.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
