Position Overview:
The Sea Freight Operations Assistant supports the Freight Manager in handling import and export activities via ocean freight. This role focuses on documentation, shipment coordination, and client communication to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Support:
- Assist in booking and monitoring sea freight shipments (FCL/LCL).
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and port authorities.
- Track vessel schedules and update the Freight Manager on progress.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare and check Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs documents.
- Ensure all paperwork meets international trade regulations and company SOPs.
- Maintain proper records for audit and billing purposes.
Customer Service
- Provide shipment updates to clients under the guidance of the Freight Manager.
- Help resolve operational issues promptly.
- Follow company policies and documentation standards.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in sea freight operations (fresh grads with internship experience may be considered).
- Basic knowledge of shipping documentation, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM5,497.49 per month
