Role Description The Part 3 Project Architect will lead the development and delivery of architectural projects, coordinating design, documentation, and technical detailing from concept through construction. This full-time, on-site role in WP, Kuala Lumpur involves managing project workflows, reviewing submittals, liaising with consultants and contractors, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and sustainability guidelines. The Project Architect will oversee Building Information Modeling (BIM) models, support quality control of drawings and specifications, and contribute to design reviews and client presentations. Day-to-day responsibilities include resolving design and technical issues, monitoring project progress against timelines and budgets, and mentoring junior team members to maintain design quality and consistency. The role also involves active participation in internal coordination meetings and collaboration across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong architectural design and technical skills, with proven experience in leading project stages from concept to construction.
- Candidates should possess experience managing project workflows, coordinating stakeholders, and overseeing submittals and documentation.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows to develop, coordinate, and maintain project models.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of sustainability frameworks such as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or equivalent green building standards.
- Relevant professional qualification (Part 3 or equivalent) and a degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices in Malaysia, especially in urban contexts like Kuala Lumpur.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and guide junior colleagues.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
