Electrical Technical Lead

Location: Singapore, Singapore

Salary / rate: SGD (9,350 - 11,150) per month

Mission-critical electrical design assurance across HV, MV and LV systems — working client-side on major infrastructure where technical decisions directly affect resilience, programme and handover.

If you’re strong on power systems, switchgear, technical reviews and stakeholder coordination, this is a serious role for an Electrical Technical Lead who can challenge designs, solve issues and keep complex projects moving.

About the role

You’ll provide electrical engineering design review, technical assurance and coordination across large-scale mission-critical infrastructure projects.

The role sits at the interface between the client, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal project teams, ensuring electrical systems are designed, delivered, commissioned and closed out in line with client standards, operational requirements and project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assure HV, MV and LV electrical system designs, including AIS and GIS switchgear solutions.
• Assess electrical infrastructure covering switchgear, transformers, energy storage, microgrids and large-scale AC/DC power systems.
• Review electrical studies and calculations, including protection coordination, earthing/grounding, CT sizing, voltage drop and power system studies.
• Check drawings, specifications, design packs, technical submissions and vendor documentation.
• Identify design risks, technical gaps, coordination issues and compliance concerns.
• Provide clear technical direction in design meetings and support timely decision-making.
• Support site, construction, commissioning, defect resolution, punch lists and handover close-out.
• Maintain trackers for design comments, actions, defects, risks, mitigation plans and close-out status.
• Support updates to owner standards, specifications, design narratives and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Strong electrical engineering background across HV, MV and LV infrastructure.
• Experience in mission-critical, data centre, industrial, energy, utilities or large-scale infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, switchgear, transformers, protection, earthing/grounding and electrical studies.
• Experience reviewing electrical drawings, design documentation, technical submissions and vendor information.
• Familiarity with IEC and ANSI/NEMA standards.
• Comfortable using design/document platforms such as BIM360, ACC, 3Dx, Google Workspace or similar.
• Able to challenge assumptions, identify technical risk and provide practical recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management across consultants, contractors, vendors and client-side teams.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including reports, trackers and technical presentations.

Desirable / nice-to-have background

• AIS and GIS switchgear product experience.
• Energy storage, microgrids or large-scale AC/DC infrastructure.
• Owner-side design assurance or technical programme delivery.
• Data centre or mission-critical project experience.
• Commissioning, punch list, defect close-out and operational handover exposure.
• Experience updating technical standards, owner requirements or technical specifications.
