Job Description

Responsibilities

Application Engineer (Mechanical @ Tuas, may involve shift work)


Location: Tuas, Singapore


May involve shift work - 8 hrs per shift


Main Scope

  • Spearheaded the deployment and continuous maintenance of diverse warehousing automation hardware, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR), Pick/Put-to-Light (PTL) systems, Four-Way Shules, and Goods Hoists, ensuring optimal operational uptime.
  • Diagnosed and resolved soware and hardware issues, including network failures, interface errors, and mechanical malfunctions, utilizing SQL queries and database analysis to minimize system downtime.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer Feedback Handling: Record and categorize customer feedback, track issue resolution progress, and provide timely updates to customers.
  • Technical Support & Training: Offer remote operational guidance and on-site training to ensure customers can properly use and maintain equipment.
  • Report Statistics & Analysis: Collect and organize after-sales issue reports, classify problems, and standardize solutions.
  • Internal Support & Collaboration: Provide internal technical support and customer service, assisting the operations manager with data statistics and analysis.
  • Workflow Optimization: Improve end-to-end workflows to enhance service quality and optimize customer experience.
  • Defect Reproduction Testing: Reproduce reported defects, collaborate with R&D on quality issue resolution, and track improvements to enhance product quality.



Qualifications:

  • Background in Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse automation systems (e.g. AMR, PTL, shuttle systems, conveyors/hoists) in deployment, support, or operations environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting capability across software, hardware, network, and mechanical domains; able to perform root cause analysis under time pressure.
  • Working knowledge of databases and SQL for log analysis, system diagnostics, or issue investigation.
  • Customer-facing experience with the ability to provide technical support, training, and clear issue communication.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, operations, and service teams to resolve quality and reliability issues.
