Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on building systems, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure safe and efficient operation. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting equipment and facilities, diagnosing issues, carrying out repairs, and completing preventive maintenance according to schedules and standards. The role also involves responding to maintenance requests promptly, coordinating with other departments to minimize disruption to guests, maintaining accurate records of work performed, and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental guidelines. The Maintenance Technician is expected to support continuous improvement efforts and help maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair to ensure reliable operation of building systems and guest facilities.
  • Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance skills to identify issues early and reduce downtime.
  • Candidates should possess experience in Industrial Maintenance or similar technical environments, preferably within hospitality, property management, or facilities services.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical systems and be able to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to read and follow maintenance procedures, work orders, and safety instructions, and maintain accurate documentation of all work performed.
  • Candidates should possess good communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse team.
  • Relevant technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent practical experience in maintenance or engineering is preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and to comply with all local safety and regulatory requirements.
