Role Description The Technical Sales Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam. This role involves managing the full sales cycle for HVAC and mechanical ventilation products, including identifying prospects, preparing proposals, and closing deals. The Technical Sales Engineer will provide pre- and post-sales technical support, conduct product presentations and site visits, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate solutions for client requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries, preparing cost estimates, supporting tender submissions, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and tracking sales performance against targets. The role also requires staying updated on product specifications, industry standards, and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Sales and Sales skills to manage leads, negotiate contracts, and achieve revenue targets.
- Experience in Sales Engineering and Technical Sales to translate engineering specifications into customer-focused solutions.
- Ability to provide effective Technical Support, including troubleshooting and product application guidance.
- Excellent Communication skills for engaging with clients, preparing documentation, and delivering presentations.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, ventilation technologies, or building services engineering is an advantage.
- Comfort with on-site work, including occasional site inspections and coordination with contractors and consultants.
- Proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
