Responsibilities


Mandatory Technical Skills

  • Operating Systems: Linux or Windows (based on respective focus area)
  • Networking (Expert Level): Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, and troubleshooting
  • Storage (Intermediate Level): Knowledge of NAS, SAN, RAID, NFS, etc.

Good to Have

  • Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, etc.)
  • Networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP)
  • Expertise in Windows Server OS
  • Knowledge of Commvault or other Data Protection / Backup solutions

Role Breakdown

1. Messaging Engineer (Mandarin – 1 Role)

Mandatory: Windows

Skills Required:

  • Exchange (On-Premises)
  • Microsoft 365
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • SharePoint

2. Media Management Engineer (Mandarin – 1 Role)

Mandatory: Windows

Good to Have: Linux

Skills Required:

  • Cloud storage technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Tape Libraries, Disk Libraries, or Cloud Storage Libraries
  • Storage appliances exposure
  • NDMP (Network Data Management Protocol)

3. System Engineer – Japanese (1 Role)

  • Native Japanese speaker (Freshers or 0–1 year experience can be considered)
  • Strong communication skills in Japanese and English

Role Summary

The System Engineer is responsible for providing expert technical support to enterprise customers across backup, recovery, and data management solutions. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, managing backup environments, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup and recovery products
  • Provide remote and on-site support for software, hardware, and network issues
  • Monitor backup operations, storage utilization, and disaster recovery systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and escalate product issues when necessary
  • Maintain detailed documentation for support cases and technical processes
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams for advanced troubleshooting
  • Participate in lab testing, simulations, and beta programs
  • Deliver support via phone, email, and online platforms with a customer-first approach
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and product enhancements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical/customer support (preferred for non-fresher roles)
  • Hands-on experience with Commvault (preferred) or other backup tools (Veritas, Veeam, NetBackup, Avamar)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and networking
  • Experience in implementation and monitoring of enterprise backup solutions
  • Excellent communication skills (English + Mandarin/Japanese as required)
