The Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical and electrical systems within the assigned plant area. This role oversees engineering projects, including design review, construction quality, schedule, cost, and safety management, while ensuring the reliable operation of critical utilities such as HVAC, dehumidification, compressed dry air (CDA), vacuum, and electrical systems.
The M&E Engineer also drives energy efficiency initiatives, supports facility upgrades, and provides technical leadership through system standardization, documentation, and the development of maintenance personnel. Based at Serendah, Selangor, you will report directly to the Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical review of design schemes and drawings within the designated area; oversees quality control, schedule management, cost control, and safety management for all engineering projects in the area to ensure timely, safe, and quality-compliant project delivery.
- Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of plant facilities including air conditioning systems, dehumidification systems, CDA systems, and vacuum systems within the designated area.
- Oversee energy consumption management in the designated area, develop rational energy-saving operation plans for factory facilities, and enhance their operational efficiency.
- Oversee property operation and maintenance management, ensure operational stability of facilities, and resolve operational challenges while being accountable for quality and safety.
- Responsible for technical upgrades of factory facilities within the designated area, and developing and executing small-scale engineering projects.
- Oversee the work of regional management technicians, including developing training materials such as SOPs, MOPs, and system manuals for HVAC, power, and electrical systems, while fostering and enhancing the technical expertise of these professionals.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement projects.
- Proficient in CAD, Microsoft Office, and FMCS software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and demonstrate a high level of self-motivation.
- Experience in a lithium battery manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience or technical knowledge in electrical systems and equipment is required.
