Responsibilities

Your new role

  • Conduct transaction monitoring and investigate suspicious transactions / alerts identified through the AML/CFT systems;

  • Draft high-quality, concise, and accurate Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) for submission to the Joint Financial Intelligence Unit (JFIU) in accordance with regulatory timelines.
  • Review anti-money laundering reports identifying suspected transactions and initiate follow-up action to ensure the bank complies with related regulations;
  • Provide support for the maintenance and enhancements of the Bank's AML/CFT systems, such as drafting system user requirements, UAT testing, and collaboration with IT and troubleshooting application incidents;
  • Stay updated on current money laundering typologies, local regulatory developments (HKMA), and international best practices (FATF) to enhance monitoring effectiveness.

What you'll need to succeed


  • Require 5-8+ years of experience in Transaction Monitoring/AML within the banking sector.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACAMS or AAMLP are highly preferred.

  • Solid understanding of Hong Kong AML/CFT ordinances, HKMA guidelines, and international AML standards.

  • Experience with automated AML transaction monitoring systems is a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin (written and spoken) is essential, given our client base and regional operations.
