Responsibilities

• Communicate directly with clients and factories

• Collaborate with suppliers, factories, and internal teams to ensure smooth Production

• Oversee supply chain, cost control, and production schedules to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance

• Verify supplier details on fabric costs, lead time and testing standards

• Supporting team managers for all kinds of merchandising activities

Core Responsibilities

• Fabric & Trim Sourcing–Source woven/knit fabrics and trims based on tech packs. Strong fabric knowledge to assess fiber composition, weave/knit structure, GSM, and finishing.

• Costing & Consumption–Approve fabric consumption, optimize marker yields, and build accurate garment cost sheets

• Sampling–Oversee all kind of samples Fit, Size Set, PP, and TOP samples; evaluate fabric performance (drape, hand feel, shrinkage).

• Supplier Management–Negotiate MOQs and lead times. Manage fabric substitutions when issues arise.

• Quality & Compliance–Ensure all materials meet REACH, CPSIA, and OEKO-TEX standards.

Requirements

• Tertiary education in Textiles and Clothing or related studies is preferred

• Over 10 years of experience in the apparel industry, with a focus on merchandising and manufacturing aspects

• Proficiency in ERP/PLM software, data analysis, and advanced Excel.

• Strong communication skills and good command of English

• Experience in factory-based companies is highly valued.

Sector-Specific Requirements

• Technical Knowledge: Having knowledge of garment construction, and garment production processes. 

• Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with global apparel testing standards (e.g., color fastness, seam strength, chemical restrictions like REACH).

• Vendor Network: Established relationships with textile mills, trim suppliers, and garment manufacturers.
