Role Description The Data Governance Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore. This role is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across the organization. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing data flows and structures, documenting data definitions and metadata, and monitoring data quality to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance. The Data Governance Analyst collaborates with business and technology teams to identify data issues, recommend remediation actions, and support data-related projects. The role also involves preparing reports and dashboards, facilitating data stewardship activities, and contributing to continuous improvement of data governance processes.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analytics to interpret complex datasets and identify trends or issues.
- Knowledge of statistics and quantitative methods to support data validation, quality assessment, and reporting.
- Proficiency in data modeling and understanding of data architecture concepts to support governance and documentation efforts.
- Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional stakeholders, explain data concepts clearly, and produce clear documentation.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality tools, and metadata management is beneficial.
- Experience with SQL, business intelligence or visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site, manage multiple tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
