About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Development Manager to lead the planning, development, and commercialization of advanced 3D machine vision products, including barcode readers, AI industrial cameras, and 3D measurement solutions.

This role is responsible for defining product strategy, conducting market and competitive analysis, supporting pre-sales technical activities, and driving products throughout their lifecycle. Working closely with R&D, Sales, and Product teams, you will play a key role in building competitive machine vision solutions and supporting regional business growth.

Job Description:
Product Strategy & Planning

  • Lead the planning, positioning, and development of 3D measurement product lines, including structured light 3D cameras, laser profile sensors, and related products.
  • Define product positioning, performance specifications, competitive differentiation, and product roadmap.
  • Develop product vision, commercial objectives, product charter, and lifecycle plans.

Market & Industry Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities within the machine vision and 3D measurement industries.
  • Analyze customer requirements and identify new opportunities for product innovation.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and prepare market analysis reports.

Industry & Solution Development

  • Develop solutions for industries including:
  • 3C Electronics
  • Lithium Battery Manufacturing
  • Automotive Components
  • Industrial Measurement
  • 3D Printing
  • Translate customer requirements into standardized product features and performance specifications.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop industry-specific machine vision solutions.

Product Commercialization & Business Support

  • Support product marketing activities, customer demonstrations, technical presentations, and industry exhibitions.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support, customer training, and solution presentations.
  • Develop product documentation, application guides, white papers, and promotional materials.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Monitor product performance, customer feedback, and market acceptance.
  • Analyze operational data and recommend product improvements.
  • Drive continuous enhancement of product competitiveness and future development strategies.

Job Requirement:
Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in:
  • Optical Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Automation
  • Measurement & Control Technology
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Or related disciplines

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of overall working experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Machine Vision or Industrial Automation.
  • Experience in product development, product management, project implementation, or machine vision applications.
  • Experience with machine vision products or companies is highly preferred.

Technical & Business Competencies

  • Strong understanding of 3D measurement technologies, structured light cameras, laser profile sensors, and industrial vision systems.
  • Strong product planning, lifecycle management, and roadmap development capabilities.
  • Experience conducting market analysis, competitor analysis, and commercial strategy development.
  • Strong customer requirement analysis and product definition skills.
  • Experience providing pre-sales technical support and supporting product implementation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Regional Exposure

  • Experience supporting business or product development across regional markets is an advantage.

Travel Requirement

  • Based in Malaysia and willing to travel overseas when required, including frequent travel to China Headquarters for product development, technical collaboration, customer engagements, and regional business support.

Pay: RM30,000.00 - RM40,000.00 per month
