Job Description

Responsibilities

This role is primarily responsible for supporting all technical catastrophe analytics advisories for Rest of Asia accounts and working with different teams across APAC region to support regional business needs on renewal, placements and tenders for large and complex clients and major markets.

The Role

  • Risk analysis and catastrophe modelling of existing and prospective clients’ portfolios based on client needs and market insights
  • Design and evaluation of risk management strategies to deliver value propositions and CAT solutions
  • Perform valuation and technical pricing of reinsurance contracts and structured insurance solutions
  • Deliver timely and accurate CAT analytics advisory to clients, stakeholders and senior management.
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking and market trend analysis
  • Prepare and conduct client presentations independently, provide consultancy and training to brokers and clients regarding actuarial and CAT modelling
  • Involved in renewals, tenders, CAT event response and ad-hoc projects
  • Perform in-depth/ complex analysis, interpret data and market reports, prepare and conduct presentations for clients independently
  • Provide consultations and training to brokers and clients regarding actuarial and catastrophe modelling services and risk complexities
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members, deliver best practices, ensure proper documentation and support workflow and process improvements

Requirements

  • Highly driven individual with minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and presentational skills are compulsory
  • Strong knowledge of the reinsurance modelling framework, fundamentals and structures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Abilityto work both independently and as a team-player
  • Degree in science, engineering or geo related
  • Experience in using Excel, Power point, Word Microsoft software and SQL, python programming knowledge is a bonus
  • Strong multi-tasking ability and organisational skills to meet deadlines in a timely manner
