About the Roles

Marine Structural Engineer role based in Tai Seng, working in the Maritime Logistics and Shipbuilding industry. This is a Permanent position with a structured 5-day work week (Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, flexible hours available). What You’ll Be Doing

• Review contracts, technical drawings, and equipment specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Interpret marine structural drawings in accordance with classification rules and maritime regulations.
• Coordinate with designers, classification societies, vendors, and clients to align specifications for new build, ship repair, and conversion projects.
• Monitor and ensure production drawings are delivered within required timelines for awarded projects.
• Address technical feedback in writing, propose practical solutions, and provide drawing annotations for follow-up actions.
• Develop production drawings based on classification-approved or client-issued design drawings.
• Prepare technical deliverables including general arrangement (GA), outfitting drawings, lifesaving arrangements, structural strength calculations, block construction plans, weight calculations, weight control documentation, and structural lifting arrangements.
• Support tender exercises by contributing basic design concepts aligned with project requirements for new build, repair, and conversion works.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned to support project and team needs.

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of engineering experience in marine or offshore structural works.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to interpret marine structural drawings, meet technical specifications, and communicate effectively on technical matters with clients.
• Strong analytical abilities, along with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel overseas for technical meetings when required.
