KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will join a high-impact digital banking team driving large-scale transformation across mobile, web, and core banking ecosystems. As a Senior Technical Delivery Manager, you are responsible for delivery excellence end-to-end while enabling high-performing squads. You will be building capabilities, elevate teams, and bring mission-critical digital banking products to life.
End to End Technical Delivery Management:
- Lead full lifecycle delivery of digital banking initiatives (mobile apps, React-based frontends, APIs, backend platforms)
- Own and drive projects, change requests, and L3 production enhancements transitioned from Group
- Oversee design, development, testing, release management, and production support
- Ensure compliance with banking SDLC, governance, and regulatory standards
- Accountable for delivery quality, timelines, and technical integrity
- Manage complex multi-squad release cycles and deployment dependencies in a high-stakes banking environment
- Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and Business Leads to align delivery with business priorities
- Drive Agile (SCRUM) execution with measurable productivity and velocity improvements
Leadership – Capability Building and Development:
- Lead and grow cross-functional squads (15–40 members) across vendors and internal teams
- Transform teams into autonomous, high-impact delivery units
- Coach engineers and leads into technical rockstars
- Champion a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Hire, mentor, and develop engineering talent aligned to long-term capability needs
- Standardize and uplift engineering practices, tools, and ways of working
- Collaborate with Chapters, Tribes, and Platform Leads to scale capability across the organisation
- Manage multiple vendors and outsourcing partners across delivery streams
- Influence and engage stakeholders across Technology, Business, and Leadership levels
- Navigate complex ecosystems with strong communication and negotiation skills
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven track record delivering large-scale, mission-critical banking systems
- Strong experience in digital banking (mobile apps, React frontend, APIs)
- Deep understanding of end-to-end architecture layers
- Hands-on experience in Agile/SCRUM delivery
- Managed teams of 15–40 engineers across multiple squads/vendors
- Strong ability to prioritise, plan, and deliver under pressure
- Experience handling regulatory-driven and time-sensitive deployments
- Track record of improving team velocity, quality, and delivery predictability
- Experience in Retail Banking, Digital Banking, or Wholesale Banking platforms
- Familiar with regional banking environments
