Role Description This is a full-time, on-site SCADA Engineer role based in Puchong. The SCADA Engineer will design, configure, and maintain SCADA and HMI systems for industrial electrification and automation projects. Daily responsibilities include developing system architectures, programming and integrating SCADA platforms with field devices, and ensuring reliable communication with power and control systems. The role involves diagnosing and resolving system issues, performing on-site testing and commissioning, and preparing technical documentation and reports. The SCADA Engineer will collaborate with project teams and clients to gather requirements, support upgrades, and ensure systems comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Power Systems, with the ability to apply these skills to industrial automation and control environments.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems and Human Machine Interface (HMI) design, configuration, and integration.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and control systems, including diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and field devices (e.g., PLCs, RTUs, sensors, drives) is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control drawings.
- Experience with Industry 4.0, IIOT solutions, or industrial digitalization projects is an advantage.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work safely on-site and manage multiple tasks and project deadlines.
