Role Description

The Human Resources Intern (Trainee) will support day-to-day HR operations in a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. Responsibilities include assisting with employee record maintenance, supporting recruitment and onboarding activities, and helping organize staff engagement initiatives and training sessions. The intern will help administer HR documentation, support the implementation of HR policies and procedures, and assist in handling basic employee inquiries. Additional tasks may include data entry, preparing HR reports, and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth HR processes. The role offers hands-on learning in hotel HR practices and exposure to a professional hospitality environment.


Qualifications

  • Foundational knowledge of Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with interest in hospitality HR practices.
  • Understanding of HR Policies and Employee Benefits, and ability to support their implementation and communication.
  • Basic skills in Personnel Management, including maintaining employee records and supporting HR administration.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language abilities are an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to learn HR systems or software.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
