Job Scope
Onsite NOC Engineer is responsible for Network support for LAN/WAN (24x7 Shift-based) Operational tasks: incident, request, and changes, meeting customer’s requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Monitoring alerts sent by Monitoring Tools
- Work at heights (Training provided)
- Log, update, and progress tickets to resolution
- Perform daily level health check for in-scope infrastructure.
- Work hand to hand directly with customer at site to handle queries, investigate incidents reported, resolve the incidents, apply fixes.
- Perform level 1 basic troubleshooting for the Network based on the Work Instruction by Level 2 Engineers.
- Escalate to next-level engineers across platforms if the incident/problems cannot be resolved.
- Create Reports and meetings (daily, monthly, and ad hoc)
- Work with Singtel Partner to engage and resolve technical issues and RMA
- Maintain and update CMDB or Asset list
- Follow-up next level engineers for the outstanding tickets
- Follow escalation matrix during critical incidents or issues attention.
- To assist the Team Lead/Operations Manager to train and guide junior team members
- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and correcting infrastructure (network) on-site
- Timely update and progress incident tickets with quality updates.
- Responsibility for patching, health check & hardening remediation as per the level 2 engineer instructions
- Performing a remote standard (Simple) change request as per the change window
- Responsible for applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes as per SOP
- Quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly activities support, like verifying assets and updating inventory
Technical experience:
- Experienced in NOC operations support across minimum one area (network and Firewall)
- Experiences insupporting network, systems (Cisco Product)
- Experienced in troubleshooting network devices and /or firewall problems, diagnosing and solving hardware/software issues, analyzing system logs, and identifying potential issues/incidents
Requirements
- Diploma in Computer Science / IT or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in NOC support – intrastate support and maintenance(LAN/WAN)
- Managing IT Infrastructure operations (minimum 2 years)
- Possess valid Singapore Driving License (Class 3) (mandatory)
- Possess Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) (mandatory)
- Possess ITIL Foundation (optional)
- Possess experience and skills in incident management, Cisco Switches and routers, Ticketing tool like ServiceNow or Remedy, etc., MS Word and Excel.
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Good Team Player and able to work independently
