Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all quantity surveying functions for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects, including cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and variation claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions for M&E projects.
  • Measure quantities and prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ).
  • Evaluate quotations and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prepare variation orders and claims.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare progress claims, payment certifications, and final accounts.
  • Attend tender briefings, site show-arounds, and project meetings with the Project Director/Project Manager.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with contract requirements and company procedures.
  • Perform any other quantity surveying duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2–5 years of relevant experience in M&E quantity surveying (preferred).
  • Experience in tender preparation, cost estimation, contract administration, and variation claims.
  • Familiar with construction contracts and tender documentation.
  • Good negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of QS software is an advantage.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
