About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CSA Lead / CSA Engineer to oversee all Civil, Structural, and Architectural works during the construction and commissioning stages of a major data center project. This is a construction-focused role (no design scope) with significant coordination responsibilities across contractors, consultants, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Construction Oversight

  • Manage and supervise all Civil, Structural & Architectural construction activities on site.
  • Monitor progress, quality, and safety across foundations, substructure, superstructure, building envelope, internal architecture, and external works.
  • Ensure installation of CSA components complies with IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and QA/QC processes.

2. Coordination & Interface Management

  • Coordinate closely with MEP, ELV, and Commissioning teams to ensure smooth interface and sequencing of works.
  • Lead daily and weekly coordination meetings with EPC/GC, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Resolve site issues promptly and ensure alignment across disciplines.

3. Technical & Quality Assurance

  • Review shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and technical queries (RFI) from a CSA perspective.
  • Conduct inspections, surveillance, and punch-list walkdowns for structural, architectural, and civil works.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, authority requirements, and client standards.

4. Schedule & Progress Tracking

  • Track construction progress against the master schedule and flag delays or potential risks.
  • Work with the planning team to validate contractor progress, sequencing, and interface readiness for downstream trades.

5. Commissioning Support

  • Support Cx teams by ensuring CSA readiness for testing and commissioning (room readiness, structural certifications, access, sealing, architectural completeness).
  • Oversee closure of CSA-related commissioning issues prior to handover.

6. HSE & Compliance

  • Ensure contractors follow all site safety regulations and risk mitigation measures.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, safety walks, and hazard assessments involving CSA activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.
  • 8–15 years of CSA experience in construction or PMC/CM environments.
  • Experience in large-scale industrial, semiconductor, manufacturing, or data center projects is an advantage (DC experience not mandatory).
  • Strong knowledge of structural works, concrete, steel, architecture, façade, waterproofing, internal finishes, and external works.
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing, interfaces, and Cx readiness requirements.
  • Ability to lead, coordinate, and manage multiple contractors on a fast-paced project.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior involvement in fast-track projects with heavy MEP interfaces.
  • Experience working with international PMCs, EPCs, or GCs.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, Uptime, hyperscale data center standards (advantage but not required).
