Key Responsibilities
1. Full Set Accounting & Financial Management
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions including:
- General Ledger (GL)
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Bank reconciliation
- Fixed assets
- Monthly closing and reporting
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
2. Project Finance & Cost Control
- Manage financial reporting and cost control for engineering and construction projects.
- Monitor project budgets, actual costs, commitments, and profitability.
- Analyse project cost performance and highlight cost variances.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Procurement, and Operations teams to ensure effective cost management.
- Review project expenditure, subcontractor costs, supplier payments, and project cash flow requirements.
- Support project progress claims, variation orders, and financial documentation.
3. Financial Planning & Cash Flow Management
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor company liquidity.
- Manage payment planning and ensure timely settlement of suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor customer collections and outstanding receivables.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
4. Management Reporting & Business Support
- Prepare financial analysis and reports for management review.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
- Provide financial advice to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and cost efficiency.
5. Audit, Tax & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and company secretary.
- Ensure proper handling of tax matters, SST, e-Invoice requirements, EPF, SOCSO, and other regulatory obligations.
- Maintain proper documentation and financial records.
6. Intercompany & Group Finance Coordination
- Manage intercompany accounting transactions and reconciliation.
- Coordinate finance matters between Malaysia, Singapore, and related entities.
- Ensure proper supporting documents for cross-border transactions and internal reporting.
7. Team Leadership & Process Improvement
- Supervise and guide Accounts Executives / Finance team members.
- Review accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Improve financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Experience in engineering, construction, EPC, or project-based industries preferred.
- Proven experience managing finance activities for large-scale projects with complex budgets and multiple stakeholders.

Experience managing multiple projects and supporting business growth.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with management and project teams.
- Experience handling multi-entity / intercompany transactions is an advantage.
Pay: RM2,953.63 - RM10,171.05 per month
