Role Purpose

The L2 Application Support Engineer (C1) is responsible for independently handling second-level application support for Malaysia Airlines’ digital platforms under the AMS engagement. The role focuses on ensuring application stability, availability, and performance of business-critical systems through effective incident management, problem management, root cause analysis, minor enhancements, and proactive operational support. The role requires adherence to defined processes, SLA commitments, and collaboration with L1, L3, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities – Application Support & Incident Management

  • Provide independent L2 production support for digital applications across web, mobile, and backend systems.• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve medium to high severity incidents within agreed SLA timelines.• Perform incident triaging, log analysis, impact assessment, and workaround identification.• Guide L1 Service Desk teams and support shift-left initiatives.• Escalate complex issues to L3/Application teams with complete diagnostic details.

Problem Management & Root Cause Analysis

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring and major incidents with minimal supervision.• Prepare clear RCA documents including corrective and preventive actions.• Identify application risks and recommend stability and resilience improvements.

Monitoring & Operational Support

  • Monitor application health, batch processes, integrations, and interfaces.• Identify performance or capacity issues and support tuning activities.• Ensure application stability during peak business and operational windows.

Deliverables & SLA Commitments

  • SLA-compliant incident resolution and service restoration.• Timely and high-quality RCA submissions.• Contribution to stable and predictable production operations.• Accurate operational documentation and knowledge base updates.

Soft Skills

  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.• Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills.• Willingness to work in 24x7 shift-based and on-call support models.• Proactive, disciplined, and customer-focused approach.

Preferred Experience

  • 0-2 years of experience in application support or production operations.• Experience supporting business-critical applications in a 24x7 environment.• Exposure to Airline / Aviation / Travel domain systems (PNR, booking, DCS, loyalty, cargo) is an added advantage.• Experience working in AMS / Run / Operations support engagements.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
