Position: Service Technician / Service Supervisor (Marine Lifesaving & Fire-Fighting Equipment)
Job Purpose
To inspect, service, repair, test, and certify marine lifesaving and fire-fighting equipment in accordance with company procedures, manufacturer requirements, and applicable marine regulations.
Responsibility:
- Inspect, service, repair, and test:
- Lifeboats and rescue boats
- Davits and launching appliances
- Liferafts
- Fire extinguishers
- Fixed fire-fighting systems
- Fire hoses, hydrants, and related equipment
- Carry out annual and periodic inspections as required.
- Complete service reports and inspection records accurately.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and meets quality standards.
- Maintain service tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Attend service jobs at vessels, shipyards, and customer locations.
- Communicate professionally with customers and vessel crews.
- Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to the required standard.
- Review service reports.
- Provide technical guidance and training.
Requirements
- Technical Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor or equivalent in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, or a related field.
- Experience in servicing marine lifesaving and fire-fighting equipment is preferred.
- Able to read technical manuals and use service tools.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willing to travel and work onboard vessels.
- Physically fit and able to work in a marine environment.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
