Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Resident Audio Visual (AV) Technical Support to provide on-site technical support for all Audio Visual (AV) systems at the client's premises. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of AV systems, video conferencing solutions, and meeting room technologies, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

The role involves ensuring all meeting rooms, boardrooms, training facilities, and collaboration spaces remain fully operational while delivering excellent technical support to end users. The successful candidate must be proactive, service-oriented, and capable of working independently to maintain high system availability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-site technical support for all Audio Visual (AV) systems at the client's premises.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for meeting rooms, boardrooms, training rooms, auditoriums, and collaboration spaces.
  • Assist users in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV equipment before, during, and after meetings, presentations, training sessions, and corporate events.
  • Ensure all meeting room AV systems are fully operational and ready prior to scheduled meetings.
  • Provide technical support for video conferencing platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex, and other collaboration solutions.
  • Perform first-level diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution of Audio Visual system issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to:
  • Audio Systems
  • Microphones and Speakers
  • LED Displays, LCD Displays, and Projectors
  • Video Conferencing Systems
  • Presentation and Collaboration Systems
  • Wireless Presentation Devices
  • AV Control Systems
  • Perform routine system inspections, preventive maintenance, and functional testing to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Monitor the health and operational status of AV equipment and report any abnormalities or recurring issues.
  • Escalate unresolved incidents to vendors, manufacturers, or higher-level technical support teams, and follow through until resolution.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams, facilities management, contractors, and external vendors during maintenance, repairs, or equipment replacement activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, maintenance activities, service requests, equipment inventory, and technical documentation.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly service reports in accordance with client requirements.
  • Provide basic user training and guidance on the proper operation of Audio Visual equipment and collaboration technologies.
  • Ensure all support activities comply with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable safety standards.
  • Support after-office-hours meetings, executive events, or emergency technical requests when required.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve AV system reliability, user experience, and service delivery.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Audio Visual Technology, Multimedia, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience in Audio Visual (AV), Unified Communications, IT Support, or Technical Support. Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of Audio Visual systems, meeting room technologies, and collaboration solutions.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, or other video conferencing platforms.
  • Familiar with AV equipment including displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, cameras, digital signal processors (DSP), and wireless presentation systems.
  • Basic understanding of AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, or similar platforms will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, LAN, Wi-Fi, VLAN, and IP-based AV systems is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize multiple support requests, and perform under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and basic documentation.
  • Willing to be permanently stationed at the client's premises.
  • Willing to work after office hours, weekends, or public holidays when required to support business-critical meetings or events.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, professionalism, and commitment to service quality and customer satisfaction.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
