Role Purpose
Support the delivery and operational excellence of the Learning & Development function by facilitating high-impact training, coordinating programmes and events end-to-end, maintaining accurate learning data and reporting, producing clear learning communications and content, and managing finance/vendor processes to ensure smooth, compliant execution.
Key Responsibilities
1) Training Facilitation & Learner Engagement
- Serve as a Discovery (Induction) Trainer, delivering the majority of Discovery training sessions with strong learner focus and engagement.
- Own and deliver New Hire Essentials training end-to-end, ensuring a consistent and high-quality onboarding learning experience.
- Facilitate a range of learning sessions using participant-centred approaches to maximise learning transfer and session effectiveness.
- Coordinate participants in a timely manner for each session (invitations, confirmations, attendance readiness), ensuring smooth delivery.
- Review and redesign training presentations to improve clarity, structure, and impact.
- Step in to moderate sessions when required, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to quality delivery.
2) Programme & Event Management
- Take ownership of programme coordination, including trainer liaison, scheduling, calendar management, and participation tracking.
- Support HSBC University, Skill Academies, and additional L&D events, ensuring strong logistics, stakeholder alignment, and delivery against learning objectives.
- Maintain accurate attendance and participation records in GLMS, supporting auditability and reporting requirements.
3) Reporting, Data Management & Insights
- Manage multiple L&D trackers, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and updated within agreed timelines.
- Proactively engage Points-in-Charge (PICs) to stay aligned with the latest reporting requirements, templates, and formats.
- Provide reliable data inputs to support performance reporting, participation insights, and operational decision-making.
4) Content Design & Communications
- Create and design internal communications, ensuring consistent tone, professionalism, and clarity.
- Develop and maintain Masterclass holding decks and other learning collateral to support programme delivery and stakeholder communications.
5) Finance & Vendor Coordination
- Manage L&D finance workflows via Fusion, including vendor follow-ups and monthly accrual processes.
- Collate and track costs by cost centre, ensuring transparency and alignment with provisioning files and budget controls.
Key Skills & Capabilities
- Strong facilitation and classroom/virtual delivery skills; confident engaging diverse audiences.
- Excellent programme coordination and stakeholder management (trainers, participants, PICs, vendors).
- High attention to detail in scheduling, logistics, and data integrity.
- Strong communication and visual presentation skills (deck redesign, internal comms).
- Comfortable working with learning systems and trackers (e.g., GLMS) and finance tools (e.g., Fusion).
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities with pace and accountability.
