about the job
- Provide 2nd level operational database support of Oracle Server databases
- Perform security patching for the DBs including RAC/Cluster databases
- Maintains development, production, and multiple testing environments.
- Performs upgrades of databases, adding new structures or elements.
- Provides use of data access tools and techniques to enable information access by business users.
- Assists in the installation, configuration, and maintaining of the database management systems software.
- Implements database backup and recovery procedures
skills and experience required
- At least 3 years of Oracle database administration experience including performing database patching, backup & recovery as well as troubleshooting
- Knowledge in Oracle RAC would be an advantage
- Preferably having experience in 1 other database technology tool as well such as SQL, MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of database management systems
- Good communications skills
