Role Description The Associate role at BlackSoil Global is a full-time, on-site position based in Singapore. The Associate will support deal sourcing and evaluation by conducting market research, financial analysis, and due diligence on potential investment and credit opportunities. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining financial models, preparing investment memos and presentations, and assisting in structuring bespoke credit solutions. The role also involves monitoring portfolio performance, updating internal reporting, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners. The Associate will collaborate closely with senior team members, contributing to investment committee discussions and helping refine the firm’s credit and investment strategies.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and financial skills, including experience with financial modeling, valuation, and credit analysis.
• Proficiency in research, market intelligence gathering, and preparing clear, data-driven presentations and reports.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CA) are a plus.
• Prior experience in investment banking, private credit, venture debt, private equity, or corporate finance is preferred.
• Interest in technology-enabled, high-growth businesses and familiarity with Southeast Asia’s business landscape.
• High level of integrity, professional judgment, and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory workplace practices.
• Prior experience in a fund setup or fund management environment is advantageous
