Mission
Ensure seamless and repeatable product transitions into Contract Manufacturers (CMs) by delivering operational readiness, stable ramps, and disruption-free manufacturing for all new product introductions (NPI), factory-to-CM moves, and inter-CM transfers.
Scope & Accountability
The CM Transition Operations Manager owns the end-to-end operational landing zone for products entering or moving between CMs. The team acts as the execution bridge between NPI, internal factories, Supply Chain, Quality, and CM Operations to ensure products are production-ready, risks are mitigated, and ramps occur without surprises. Accountable for operational execution and readiness, while partnering closely with the Strategic CM team on commercial and pricing alignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational transition execution for:
- New Product Introductions (NPI) to CM
- Factory → CM transfers
- Inter-CM transfers
- Own CM readiness gating prior to ramp and volume release
- Ensure full 4M (Man, Machine, Material, Method) preparedness at CM
- Coordinate cross-functional execution with:
- Manufacturing (OF)_
- NPI & Engineering
- Quality & Reliability
- Supply Chain
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience in NPI, manufacturing operations, or supply chain program management, with strong exposure to product transfers (Factory-to-CM or inter-CM).
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional execution across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive operational readiness and successful product ramps.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and 4M readiness (Man, Machine, Material, Method), including risk identification and mitigation during transitions.
- Experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs), with knowledge of operational challenges in ramp, capacity planning, and supplier coordination.
- Strong program management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex transitions simultaneously, ensuring timelines, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align global teams across different functions and regions.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making capability in fast-paced, high-impact environments, with a focus on execution and results.
- Ability and willingness to collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones.
- Familiarity with digital tools such as ERP systems, SharePoint, and data/reporting platforms is an added advantage.
