SCDA Hiring! Full Time FF-E Designer in - Ricebowl

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work on interior design assignments and client liaison, focusing on luxury hospitality and residential projects that include conceptual and schematic design through project completion.

The Role:

• Advise client on interior design factors such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings or equipment, and color coordination
• Participate in selection of FF&E color palettes and material presentations and generate specifications
• Select or design, and purchase furnishings, arts works and accessories
• Review and detail shop drawings for constructions plans
• Estimate material requirements and costs, and present design to client for approval
• Subcontract fabrication, installation, and arrangement of carpeting, fixtures, accessories, draperies, paint and wall coverings, art work, furniture and related items
• Render design ideas in form of paste-ups or drawings
• Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps and fabricators to meet overall project objectives
• Provide project team coordination for material selections required for construction

The Requirements:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• 5-8 years of relevant experience as a FF&E Designer, with significant hospitality design experience with a focus on high end hotel projects
• Outstanding graphic presentation skills
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Skilled in conceptual thinking and experiential design
• Expert knowledge of the design process, including FF&E, color & materials
• Expert knowledge of furniture systems and specifications
• Proficient in Creative Adobe Suite applications
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
• Ability to travel to different countries to manage projects
