Softenger Hiring! Full Time Cloud Data Platform Engineer in Federal Territory - Ricebowl

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously improving, monitoring, maintaining, and extending the individual elements of the Data Ecosystem infrastructure in the cloud, e.g., cloud storage, file event queues, and databases, etc.
• Ensuring that the Data Ecosystem is secure, stable, cost effective, scalable and help our users with guidance to use the services optimally
• Collaborating with architects to set guidelines and standards for the Data Ecosystem
• Troubleshooting tickets and incidents reported by data engineers relating to the platform and helping them succeed with their deliveries
• Build and maintain pipelines that can provision technical products to those using Infrastructure as Code.

Qualifications:

• Have experience using Kubernetes, Docker, relational databases (modelling, performance tuning) and private networking as well as deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and securing cloud resources, preferably on Azure
• Have experience with automation, version control, DevOps, IaC and CI/CD (e.g., using Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform)
• Have experience in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, and Azure CLI) and it is a big plus also having experience with software development, preferably using Python
• Have good understanding of Data Engineering practices such as data analytics, data processing tools, ETL, ELT etc.
• Enjoy collaborating on features and user stories with your colleagues in the team, and can show transparency with your work through documenting and communicating it clearly, both in meetings, comments, chats, and pull requests
