Job Responsibilities
- Review tender drawings, project specifications, landlord requirements, and client standards.
- Prepare tender documents including Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tender clarifications, cost estimates, and unit pricing.
- Perform quantity take-offs and measurements from construction drawings.
- Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare quotations and ensure complete and timely submission of tender proposals.
- Analyse quotations for tender costing and assist in subcontract negotiations and award recommendations.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain variation orders, site instructions, and project cost records for both subcontract and main contract works.
- Finalise subcontract and main contract final accounts.
- Source competitive materials, finishes, suppliers, and project-related samples.
- Manage procurement activities and monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare price comparisons, cost analysis reports, and costing summaries.
- Maintain and update costing databases and procurement records.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Contracts Management, Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying within interior fit-out, renovation, A&A works, or commercial fit-out projects.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, commercial interior, or premium fit-out projects will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with joinery, millwork, marble, metalwork, decorative finishes, and specialty installations is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in procurement, subcontract administration, tendering, and cost control.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quantity surveying documentation.
