Job Description

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (L2) to design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure across leading public cloud platforms. This role spans the full cloud lifecycle, including account setup, identity management, networking, compute provisioning, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.

You will work with infrastructure-as-code, GitOps practices, and cloud-native tools to ensure secure, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

  • Provision and manage cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP following governance and security standards.
  • Design and implement cloud IAM and RBAC models including roles, policies, service accounts, MFA, and SSO federation.
  • Build and manage cloud networking including VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, VPN, DNS, WAF, and firewall rules.
  • Provision and scale IaaS resources (compute, auto-scaling, load balancers, security groups).
  • Manage PaaS services including databases, app services, and serverless platforms.

Kubernetes & Containerization

  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, GKE).
  • Configure namespaces, RBAC, network policies, and workload deployments.
  • Work with tools such as Rancher for cluster management.

DevOps & Automation

  • Implement GitOps workflows using Argo CD (app-of-apps, drift detection, rollback strategies).
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform across multi-cloud environments.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement cloud security best practices including CIS benchmarks, vulnerability scanning, and posture management.
  • Monitor and enforce privileged access governance and IAM controls.
  • Manage cloud VM patching and maintain secure golden images.

Monitoring & Optimization

  • Integrate observability tools for logs, metrics, and monitoring.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
  • Implement and manage cost governance including tagging strategies, right-sizing, and budget alerts.

Collaboration & Governance

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to IaC repositories.
  • Work closely with DevOps, security, and application teams to ensure platform reliability.
  • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
  • Strong understanding of IAM, RBAC, SSO, MFA, and access governance
  • Experience with cloud networking (VPC/VNet, VPN, DNS, WAF)
  • Expertise in Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE) and container orchestration
  • Proficiency in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Knowledge of GitOps practices and Argo CD
  • Familiarity with cloud security practices and compliance frameworks
  • Understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Rancher or similar Kubernetes management tools
  • Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, Shell)
  • Exposure to multi-cloud governance and compliance
  • Experience with cost optimization strategies
