About the Role

We are looking for a Business Analyst / Product Owner to serve as the primary bridge between client stakeholders and the offshore development team on one of our key accounts. The core of this role is business analysis -- gathering and translating requirements, writing functional specifications and ensuring the development team always has clear, well-scoped work to execute on.

You will also carry the Product Owner responsibilities within the Agile delivery cycle, but the emphasis here is on rigour in requirements, not on product strategy or vision. This suits someone who thrives in detail, knows how to ask the right questions of stakeholders and can turn ambiguous briefs into tight, deliverable specifications.

What You'll Do

Business Analysis (primary focus)

• Engage directly with client stakeholders to elicit, analyse and document business and functional requirements

• Translate requirements into clear user stories, functional specification documents (FSDs), process flows and acceptance criteria

• Review and obtain sign off on FSDs in coordination with the client's project and management teams

• Map current and future-state business processes, identifying gaps, risks and opportunities for improvement

• Maintain thorough documentation across tools such as Confluence, Jira, or equivalent

Agile Delivery and Product Ownership

• Maintain a well-groomed, prioritised backlog in collaboration with the client and development team

• Lead sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, keeping ceremonies focused and efficient

• Coordinate SIT and UAT cycles, working with QA and business teams to ensure releases meet acceptance criteria

• Manage release planning and deployment coordination across onshore and offshore teams

• Proactively identify and escalate risks, blockers and scope creep

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or Product Owner role in a digital product or platform environment

• Strong requirements elicitation skills -- comfortable running stakeholder workshops, writing FSDs and managing sign-off processes

• Experience working with offshore development teams, including navigating language and communication differences

• Solid Agile/Scrum practitioner -- a CSPO, CBAP, or Scrum Master certification is a plus

• Familiarity with LMS, community platforms, or gamification features is an advantage

• Experience scoping AI or data-driven product features

• Hands-on with documentation and project tools such as Jira and Confluence

• Self-directed and able to work effectively within a lean, remote team structure

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in a consultancy or client-facing delivery role

• Background in enterprise digital transformation projects

• Exposure to public sector or large enterprise clients
