Job Description

Responsibilities

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for a Creative Designer to produce the materials our sales efforts run on — physical collateral (catalogs, flyers, price sheets) for outbound prospecting, and short-form videos for inbound awareness. Strategic direction and target demographics will be provided. Your job is execution: turning that direction into compelling, well-crafted materials that get our products in front of the right buyers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Printed Sales Materials

This is the backbone of our outbound B2B sales effort. The materials you produce are what gets left behind after a meeting, dropped into a letterbox, or handed over at a trade counter. They need to be professional, practical, and designed to be read quickly by a busy business owner. Below are the common types of materials employed by our company:

  • Product Catalogs: Design & maintain master product catalog, category-specific mini-catalogs, seasonal catalogs, etc.
  • Leaflets & Flyers: Create flyers for new product announcements, monthly promos, bundle deals, and first-order offers, etc.
  • Price Sheets: Design clean, scannable price sheets by category — Used by the sales team when quoting buyers — must be easy to update when pricing changes

2. Short-Form videos

Our social media presence (TikTok, Instagram Reels) drives inbound leads. Videos do not need to be cinematic. They need to be clear, well-edited, and relevant to a B2B audience that is time-poor and practically minded.

  • Add captions, text overlays, product labels, and background music — CapCut is acceptable — clean execution matters more than tool choice
  • Supply videos in 9:16 vertical format — MP4, optimised for mobile viewing
  • Write caption text and on-screen hooks — Short, direct, and written to a B2B audience — not consumer-style hype

3. Supporting Digital Materials

  • WhatsApp broadcast graphics — Product announcement images, promo cards, and price update visuals formatted for WhatsApp Business sharing
  • Marketplace product listing images — Hero shots and supporting images for Shopee listings — clean, white/natural background, product clearly visible
  • Social media static posts — Occasional Facebook and Instagram feed graphics when video is not the right format — product launches, deals, announcements
  • Email or PDF quotation templates — A clean, branded quote document layout the founder can fill in and send to prospective B2B clients

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Non-Negotiables

  • Print design proficiency — You must be able to produce print-ready collateral — correct bleed, CMYK colour, proper margins, PDF/X export. Adobe InDesign or Illustrator is strongly preferred for catalog work
  • Short-form video editing — Demonstrated ability to edit clean, well-paced short videos with text overlays, transitions, and music. CapCut is minimum — Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve is a plus
  • Strong layout and typography sense — Catalogs and flyers live or die on readability. You must be able to organise dense product information in a way that is visually clean and easy to navigate
  • Attention to file and version management — You will be producing many documents that get updated regularly. Files must be named, organised, and versioned properly so we can find and update them without confusion
  • Reliable and deadline-oriented — Outbound sales depend on having materials ready before the sales team goes out. Late files block revenue. This is a hard requirement.
  • Able to work from a brief — You will receive direction from the team lead — product to feature, audience, key message, deadline — and produce the finished asset without needing heavy hand-holding.

Not Required (X)

  • Formal design or media qualification — Portfolio matters more than a certificate
  • Prior work experience in B2B — As long as you approach learning with genuine curiosity, anything is teachable
  • Social media strategy or account management — We handle strategy and scheduling — you handle production
  • Paid advertising or media buying skills — Out of scope for this role
  • Complex video production — No drone footage, professional studio setup, or long-form editing required
  • Web design or development — Not part of this role

HOW TO APPLY

Send the following to ************* with the subject: 'YuVin Media Designer'

1. A brief introduction — who you are and why this role suits you (5 sentences max)

2. Portfolio samples — specifically:

  • At least 2 example of a multi-page catalog, brochure, or product sheet you have designed
  • At least 2 example of a sales flyer or outbound marketing material
  • At least 5 short-form videos (TikTok, Reels, or similar) you have edited

3. Tools you use — list your design and video editing software

If you don't have an F&B-specific portfolio, any print collateral or product-focused content is acceptable — we care about craft and commercial sense, not industry experience.

Shortlisting timeline: Applications reviewed on a rolling basis. Shortlisted candidates contacted within 5 working days. Target onboarding within 2–3 weeks of posting.

GROWTH OPPORTUNITY

This is a defined, execution-focused role — but it is also the foundation of something bigger. As YuVin’s product range and customer base grows, so does the volume and complexity of the materials required. A strong performer in this role will naturally follow this trajectory in their first 9 months:

Month 1–3: Probation period

Your first priority is building the core asset library: master product catalog, price sheets by category, branded quotation template, and a reusable flyer suite. These are the materials our sales effort runs on — getting the print collateral right takes precedence. Although video output is lighter during this phase, experimentation with different formats is encouraged to see what converts. Expect close collaboration with the founder as you learn the product range and brand preferences.

Month 4–6: Find the rhythm

With the library in place, the monthly workflow kicks in properly. Regular flyer rotations, consistent video output, and your first independent catalog update. By this point you should need less direction, not more. The best sign at this stage: you start flagging things before we ask — a price that changed, a product that still doesn't have its own flyer. That proactive quality is what we're watching for.

Month 7 – 9: Work With Autonomy

At this stage, the conversation starts to shift. Instead of 'here's what I need,' it becomes 'here's what we're trying to achieve — you tell me what materials make sense.' You'll have built the templates, learned the product range, and earned the trust. Your input on execution becomes a genuine part of how we plan. A rate review will usually happen around this time for strong performers. We reward consistency and quality — not tenure alone.

Benefits:

  • Professional development
