We are looking for a Mid-Level Matillion Platform Administrator with roughly 5 years of experience to manage our Matillion SaaS Hybrid instances. You will be responsible for platform provisioning, user management, resource scaling, and operational health monitoring. Join our IT Managed Services team to ensure our data engineering squads have a highly available, secure, and optimized ELT environment.

As the Platform Administrator, your primary focus is keeping the Matillion environment robust, secure, and compliant with GxP standards. You will ensure platform uptime, govern access, and facilitate seamless release management.

Key Responsibilities

 •  Administer Matillion SaaS Hub and associated Hybrid agent infrastructures, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

 •  Manage user access, SSO/SAML configuration, and role-based permissions across Matillion environments to ensure strict security governance.

 •  Monitor EC2/compute resource utilization (CPU, memory, disk) for Matillion instances and implement scaling or right-sizing strategies.

 •  Manage platform configurations, schedule and execute software upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance in coordination with change management processes.

 •  Govern Git integrations at the platform level, assisting deployment teams with environment setup and CI/CD release orchestration.

 •  Troubleshoot platform-level incidents, connectivity issues with Snowflake and source systems, and manage support tickets through ServiceNow.

 •  Highly organized, maintaining meticulous documentation for system configurations and change controls.

 •  Collaborative team player, working closely with data engineering and DBA teams to optimize the overall data ecosystem.

 Required Technical Skills

 Core Technical Skills

 •  5+ years of platform administration or IT operations experience, with significant hands-on experience managing Matillion environments.

 •  Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure), Linux server administration, and network troubleshooting.

 •  Experience configuring database connections, API profiles, and managing SSL certificates within data integration tools.

 •  Proactive administrator who identifies and resolves infrastructure bottlenecks before they impact end-users.

 Methodology & Best Practices

 •  Strong adherence to ITIL practices, particularly Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

 •  Experience managing environments subject to GxP compliance, periodic reviews, and disaster recovery testing.

 Good to have:

 •  Background in the life sciences sector with an understanding of CSV audits.

 •  Familiarity with Snowflake administration and FinOps monitoring.
