Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in researching and developing new designs, concepts, and prototypes for public seating (benches, chairs, waiting area seating, etc.).
• Evaluate and test new materials, finishes, and production methods for durability, comfort, and cost efficiency.
• Improve existing product designs to enhance strength, ergonomics, and aesthetic value.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure designs can be manufactured effectively and within budget.
• Ensure all products comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Support in analyzing market trends and customer needs to propose innovative solutions.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for new and improved products.
• Collaborate with suppliers, engineers, and quality assurance teams on materials and product development.
• Participate in product testing (e.g., load testing, wear-and-tear testing) and report findings.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Experience in furniture/public seating design or manufacturing is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of materials (metal, wood, plastics, upholstery) and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
• Innovative mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage tasks effectively.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
