Computer Science Teacher (Secondary)

Job Overview
IMAS Secondary School in Kajang is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to promote digital literacy and computational thinking among secondary school students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons aligned with the IGCSE curriculum, fostering students’ confidence in programming, and supporting their academic development in computer science.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in accordance with the IGCSE Computer Science syllabus.
• Teach programming concepts, including languages such as Python and Pseudocode.
• Develop and implement engaging teaching materials and classroom activities.
• Assess, evaluate, and monitor students’ progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, and examinations.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ performance and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
• Manage classroom behavior to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of computer lab equipment and resources.
• Keep up to date with developments in computer science education and technology.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and parent-teacher conferences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification or certification relevant to secondary education.
• Proven experience teaching the IGCSE Computer Science syllabus.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Pseudocode.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Passion for teaching and fostering students’ interest in computer science.
• A nurturing, adaptable, and student-centered approach to education.
