Position Purpose
Summary of this position’s requirements:
The Assistant Risk Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of risk data, developing analytical tools, and supporting the ongoing execution and enhancements robust Enterprise Risk Management(ERM) framework. Under the guidance of the Chief Risk Officer, the Assistant Risk Manager will be using and developing advanced risk management tools to support the overall monitoring of the Company’s risk profile.
Job Duties
Primary and key job duties and responsibilities for this position:
Build and enhance risk models and tools to support data-driven decision-making processes
Analyze large datasets to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement within the Company risk and control frameworks
Responsible for second line of defense data quality, ensuring high quality dashboards for key risk and control data are developed and maintained
Collaborate with various departments to gather and validate risk data for integration into the ERM framework
Support Chief Risk Officer in maintaining and operating an effective risk governance structure on a day-to-day basis
Assist in conducting independent quarterly risk assessment, including stress testing and scenario analysis to identify and mitigate risks
Lead the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment process
Prepare risk-related reports and presentations
Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as directed by the Chief Risk Officer
Knowledge / Experience
Degree in Mathematics, Risk Management, Actuarial or related disciplines.
Ideally 3 years insurance risk management related experience, but Candidates with strong technical background will be considered
Proficiency in Excel modelling, VBA, or other programming languages (Python, Java, SQL, etc.);
Exposure to AI tools in a professional environment would be beneficial.
Experience in either operational risk, financial risk, or enterprise risk is ideal.

Good analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
Good report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin
Open to learning and building tools and models from ground up
Ability to guide more junior team members.
