• Molex is seeking an experienced mechanical Senior Product Development Engineer Integral role in the development, deployment and scale-up of Molex's Taiwan RF Test & Measurement Center of Excellence by leading mechanical design for Test & Measurement products and ATE (Automated Test Equipment).

What You Will Do

• Electrical Design of RF connectors, cable assemblies, and custom mechanical assemblies for ATE (Automated Test Equipment)
• Lead conceptual innovation process, prototyping and validation for new products
• Electrical design using HFSS and prototyping verification tools & processes
• Owner of Network Analyzer and required testing performance output.
• Partner with Mechanical Engineering to optimize electrical design performance of concepts & prototypes ensuring mechanical constraints and electrical performance requirements are met
• Cross-functional team collaboration across our global RF Segment design and manufacturing footprints
• Writing of concept, design, EV, DV and qualification reports for internal and external (Customer) use
• Communication with internal peers/partners and external stakeholders (Suppliers and Customers)
• Oversight and mentoring of junior engineers

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written. Fluent English speaking is a requirement
• Entrepreneurial thinker, a strong sense-of-urgency, and a high-level of customer focus
• Sound user of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.)
• 5-8+ years in mechanical design of high-frequency RF connectors and cable assemblies and Automated Test Equipment (ATE)

o Strong 3-D modeling skills (Creo/SolidWorks/NX). NX preferred.

o Strong understanding of materials and mechanical design attributes and practices that impact RF electrical performance

o Expert-level understanding of and ability to perform statistical tolerance analysis and effective summaries of outcomes

o Lead/direct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) process

o Lead/direct Mechanical FEA process (Stress/Strain) for DFR (Design for Reliability) process

o Excellent design and manufacturing Risk Assessment & Risk Mitigation skills

o Sound understand SPC (Statistical Process Control)

o Strong experience with manufacturing and assembly processes required for tight tolerance control, in particular, CNC screw machining

What Will Put You Ahead

• Master's or Ph.D. degree
• Understanding and application of sound project management techniques managing projects to timelines, due dates and deadlines
