Singapore-based Transit Systems Senior Engineer

Lea+Elliott Asia Pte. Ltd., a subsidiary of Lea+Elliott Inc., is seeking a qualified Transit Systems Senior Engineer to manage an Automated People Mover (APM) project in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for overseeing transit systems engineering and implementation activities, including detailed design review, manufacturing oversight and test witnessing and on-site installation and testing oversight. Oversight responsibilities will comprise all aspects of the operating system, including rolling stock, signalling, power distribution, communications, platform screen doors, and integration of the subsystems. Responsibilities will also include contractor progress tracking and reporting and supporting the client and other team members to achieve overall project goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, System Engineering or related discipline)
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in the transit industry or related field
• Experience with multiple transit subsystems, system integration, and coordination of systems-to-systems and systems-to-facilities interfaces
• Willingness to learn and engage in multiple disciplines, work as part of a team, support a variety of project activities, and collaborate across technical disciplines as required
• Willingness to work both on-site and in the project office as required. The site will be located close to the project office.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication and writing skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Specialized experience in rail signalling/CBTC, communications, cybersecurity, and power distribution
• Experience in planning, procurement, and construction of Design & Build transit construction projects
• Experience with rail or automated transit system testing, commissioning, and activation
• Experience with design and construction change management
• Experience working in a consulting or project oversight environment
• Familiarity with Singapore transit projects and regulatory environments is desirable
• Experience with BIM and/or CAD software
• Cost estimating experience for capital projects
• Fluent in Mandarin
