Our client is a globally recognised engineering company headquartered in Europe, specialising in material handling and intralogistics solutions. With a strong presence across multiple industries, they provide innovative conveyor and automation technologies that improve the efficiency of warehouses, distribution centres, airports, and manufacturing facilities worldwide. Due to continued business growth, they are looking to appoint a Technical Manager to lead their Singapore operations.

The Role

As the Technical Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team across Applications Engineering and Operations, ensuring the successful delivery of engineering solutions while driving operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop a team of Applications Engineers and Operations personnel, fostering technical capability and high performance.
• Partner closely with the Sales team to provide technical support throughout the customer journey, from solution design to project execution.
• Review and oversee engineering designs, layouts and technical documentation to ensure quality, functionality and cost-effectiveness.
• Support project execution by providing technical guidance during manufacturing, installation and commissioning.
• Drive continuous improvement across engineering and operational processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee operational functions including procurement, order fulfilment, logistics coordination and internal IT support.
• Analyse after-sales performance and customer feedback to identify improvement opportunities and strengthen long-term customer relationships

The Talent

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience leading technical or engineering teams within industrial equipment, automation, material handling or related industries.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor or equivalent CAD software.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge with the ability to develop and review engineering solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with customers and commercial teams.
• A structured, hands-on leader with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
