Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site R&D Electronic Engineer role based in Pelabuhan Klang. The R&D Electronic Engineer will design, develop, and refine electronic circuits and systems for new and existing electronic musical instruments. Daily tasks include conducting research, creating and reviewing schematics and PCB layouts, performing prototyping and testing, and analyzing performance data to ensure reliability, safety, and compliance with relevant standards. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical design, firmware, and product management, to translate product requirements and user feedback into technical specifications. The engineer will document designs, prepare test reports, support troubleshooting and continuous improvement, and contribute to product cost optimization and manufacturability.


Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills, including problem-solving, data interpretation, and performance evaluation for electronic systems.
  • Experience in Research and Development (R&D), with hands-on involvement in electronic product design, prototyping, and iterative improvement.
  • Proficiency in product development activities such as defining requirements, creating circuit designs, and supporting transition from prototype to mass production.
  • Skills in testing and research, including test plan creation, validation of electronic components and assemblies, and documentation of test results.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with PCB design tools, electronic simulation software, and standard lab equipment (oscilloscope, multimeter, signal generator, etc.).
  • Understanding of EMI/EMC, safety standards, and quality assurance practices relevant to consumer electronic products.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, communicate technical information clearly, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Interest in music or musical instruments and previous experience in the audio or electronic musical instrument industry is an advantage.
